Faune Yerby mixed media artist lives and works in Brooklyn NY. Attended San Francisco Art Institute and Mason Gross School of Art for photography. Always drawn to textiles, fiber and texture she learned how to spin yarn 3 years ago and is still discovering new and unique ways of making yarn.

Faune Yerby (YetiYarnsandDryGoods) specializes in super bulky art yarns using all different types of mostly hand dyed wool. To make each skein unique she adds silk, feathers,recycled fabrics and beads. She sources much of her raw wool from local farms in the northeast including NY,PA . yetiyarnsanddrygoods.etsy.com

The Spun Monkey is a love affair with process, with creative collaboration, with a patch of grass. Wool from small family farms is lovingly crafted into artful supplies for knitting, weaving and crochet or wet-felted into joyful adornments to keep you cozy.

Shannon is currently relocating to southern Vermont (again) and will happily spend winter spinning on her Lendrum by the woodstove.

Heather Love is a mixed-media artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She has been a devoted knitter and seamstress since learning from her mother at an early age. In 1997, she graduated with a BFA from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She has been teaching fine art and craft workshops since that time. In 2007 she left her position as Studio Manager for the artists Mike and Doug Starn to pursue her own work. Currently she teaches knitting, sewing and spinning at Brooklyn General Store. Most recently she launched a line of designer knitting patterns and luxury handspun yarns under the label hellomello handspun. Girl on the Rocks is an avid crafter who just wasn't satisfied with the tools and notions available to knitters and spinners. Karrie designs and produces instructional stitch markers, needle gauges, and tools for handspinners that combine function with cute designs and high quality materials.

When she isn't wrangling flocks of bamboo sheep, Karrie is probably spinning a yarn of her own.

The Crafty Scientist is Dayna Mankowski, part-time Pharmacist and full time Crafter! The experimental design lab is host to many creative experiments, and most recently has been taken over by loads of fiber! Humanely sourced wool, mohair, and silks are hand dyed by other artisans, and these are carded into one of a kind ‘Laboratory Batts’. In addition to these amazing fibers, the sky is the limit for other fibers added to the batts - soysilk, corn fiber, and even tinsel and sewing scraps are used. “ Art Yarns by a Scientist’ utilize lab batts and are spun usually thick and thin and contain other fun add ins---sea shells, beads, and even felted items.
